Professor Eytan completed a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel & Tourism Management at Florida International University in the United States, where he also completed his Master’s studies in the Department for International Business Management, in 1994.In 1998, he completed his doctorate with the Department of Strategic Management at Colombia University in the United States.
In 2008 he received the title of Professor from Peking University.
In 2009-2010, he was named the Best Foreign Professor in China by the Chinese Ministry of Education.
Political and Public Activity
Since he is fluent in Chinese, Professor Ariel Eytan appears regularly in interviews and panels in Chinese media as an expert and commentator on economic and governmental issues.
He serves as director for foreign companies and previously held the position of economic advisor for three Israeli Prime Ministers
Benjamin Netanyahu, Ariel Sharon, and Ehud Olmert.
Professor Ariel Eytan works with American and Chinese politicians and promotes technological, agricultural, and educational cooperation between Israel and the United States as well as with China, among his efforts is the creation of sister city agreements, and the development of educational links between Hebrew University in Israel and universities in China.
Professor Ariel Eytan serves as the vice-chairman of the Zionist Billionaires Forum, a non-profit organization led by businessman Nissan Khakshouri. The forum’s goal is to support pro-Israel political representatives around the world in their political endeavors. The forum, based in Herzliya, is composed of dozens of members living in Israel and other countries around the world, such as South Korea, India, Australia, and Canada.
Between 2003-2006, Professor Eytan served as the deputy mayor of Ramla under Yoel Lavi and as director general of the municipality.
